Well I'm racking up the miles, riding little rough
This old body's feeling kind of tough
Too many miles down that old smokey road
Never seems to fail I'm hauling heavy load
Still running good but I don't know
How many miles I can go
Now I'm running up a red line, double clutching hard
Doing all this to try to leave the yard
Huffing and a puffing where ever I go
These long hours are starting to show
Still looking good but I dont know
How many miles I should go
I'm gonna take out the trash, sweep up the dust
Lose those habits that used to be a must
Lighten my load, use better road
Read the signs, stay between the lines
Can it be done, can I change my style
Like to think I'll be around for awhile
Now I'm looking down a crossroad, think I know way
I don't see the devil so I think it's OK
Setting up the cruise and the mojo jive
Don't have a problem going 55
Still running good but I don't know
How many miles that I should go
I'm gonna take out the trash, sweep up the dust
Lose those habits that used to be a must
Lighten my load, use better road
Read the signs, stay between the lines
Can it be done, can I change my style
Like to think I'll be around for awhile
