Jayulous - Haunted Past Lyrics
Official

Sometimes I can't sleep at night, thinking about my future life
My worst nightmare was being 60 with no life, I won't date till I've found a wife
Worrying about my old life will put me straight back to my old ways
Got me thinking bout the old days, my past haunts me that's why I can't be free
Money ain't nothing if your mind ain't free, I need my head in tact
In the mean time imma get my money stacked yeah imma get my money right
I been tryna write my wrongs for the longest time, It's about time I got refined
Starting to believe in God the way I got redesigned, anything that happened in the past Imma leave it there
It's a shame you can't leave problems there, looking in the rear too long will make you crash
Why you think I ain't getting no where ? I'm not destined for failure
But if I stay here that's where I'll be forever
Forever, I thought we was forever, guess that's just something we say
And don't really mean it, I've come so far from writing rhymes
Now I can spit rhymes, success ain't made over night
But you can start and change your life tonight, yeah you can start to make it right
Wasted time texting temporary people, when I should be getting paper
Surprised police aint been called, cos I'm a noisy neighbour
All My songs have been home made, like I was cooking up a recipe
They used to laugh at me, now they congratulate me
They commenting on my life, but I don't need commentary
Gave you my heart that was voluntary, you broke it into to was that even necessary
Man I'm far from ordinary, I been switching I been switching lanes
Started selling sweets in school, stacking coins got me feeling cool
But I was never too cool for school, more like strange and awkward
Always trying to fit in where I didn't belong, so many times I felt like a tag along
And maybe I was, but I know of certain that I didn't belong
Life's taught me a load of lessons, the biggest one of all
Appreciate what you have before it's gone, didn't appreciate my father now he's gone
Sometimes I can't sleep at night, thinking about my future life
My worst nightmare was being 60 with no life, I won't date till I've found a wife
Worrying about my old life will put me straight back to my old ways
Got me thinking bout the old days, my past haunts me that's why I can't be free
