Lusts against the Spirit a war unsurpassed
All sexual sin the deepest darkest parade
Idolatry sorcery hatred contentions made
Jealousies outbursts of wrath revelries selfish ambitions
Envy murder drunkenness heresies and dissensions
Each selfish thought a fractured dream
Yet hope remains as an life giving spring
And It's here we stand the choice at the flesh or spiritual gate
To walk in the Spirit of all its fruit we must cultivate
For the flesh bears fruit that fades away
Corruption's harvest night devours day
But sowing in Spirit we reap life all new
With love joy and peace breaking through
Longsuffering kindness with goodness embrace
Faithfulness woven with gentleness a wonderous place
Self-control ruling the flesh with the help of God's hand
Against the fruit of the spirit there is not a law to stand
Born of the Spirit with a purpose to rise and soar
In Jesus Christ we find He is the spiritual door
In this spiritual war where the kingdoms collide
Eye's closed in trust let Holy Spirit be our guide
The body of Christ together we're serving as one
For it is in our hearts we walk out the battle Jesus won
Declaring we walk in the Spirit absolutely not in the flesh
Each morning new mercies in the Spirit refreshed
