The lads and I all got together and came up with a plan
The biggest, wildest pub crawl in all of Ireland
There was Billy Red, Joey K, meself and Paddy C
And just last June, the three of them came along with me
We flew out of Chicago direct to Dublin town
We all agreed we'd stop at the first pub that we found
We finally made the Temple Bar and stayed there for 3 days
And when we left ol' Dublin town, we let in quite a haze
We headed south to Kilkenny the hometown of me friend
Right to Tynan's Bridge House and began to drink again
We found out that the hurling match was the place to be
It's where drunken Billy Red kept yelling kill the referee"
We left there in a hurry, next stop was Waterford
Home of famous crystal and worst singin' that we heard
This Irish lass was tryin to sing John Denver's Country Roads
She sounded like a cross between a cat and croakin' toads
We stopped at Blarney Castle before we went to Cork
Tryin to kiss the Blarney Stone surely took some work
In Cork we went to Rearden's Pub just to have a few
And after 18 pints a piece, we knew that we were through
Northbound to Kilarney where we would quench our thirst
In the Laurel's Pub, where I heard this music first
We drank and sang and sang and drank until the parting glass
Then Paddy C left the Laurels with an Irish lass
Just outside of Limerick is the famous Durty Nelly's
Where we consumed pints and paddys down into our bellies
The rugby club was singing, I joined in all night long
They couldn't believe a Yank would know all those Irish songs
At Galway town the place to go was O'Connels in Salthill
It was there the four of us planned to drink our fill
When Joey K drank night & day and got the ol' D.T.s
We told him we'd not carry him so he crawled out on his knees
From Galway Bay to Dublin we stopped in Tullamore
Known for Irish Whiskey... where we would drink somemore
It was in the Tap Bar, drinking whiskey not some brew
Our Irish trip was now complete, for we had got our "Dew"
We came back to Chicago but before we headed out
We all agreed that we could do with a pint or two of stout
We went in search of the beer... we knew where we would go
So our last stop in 'Ol Chi-town the Irish Pub Fado
Yes our last stop in 'Ol Chi-town the Irish Pub Fado
