This is based off a true story
I was riding my bike on the side of a highway
And it was a pretty day
The birds were chirpin' and there's no way
That anything could screw up my day
Cause I was wearing reflective gear
And there's no way they couldn't hear my bell, ringing
It was safe
But then I saw a rock
Sitting right in front of me
I had to move out of the way but there was a car coming!
Oh my gosh!
But it wasn't gonna get in my way
Cause it was a perfect day-ohhh
I was coasting through the day
Knowing adventure was on the way
I didn't know where I was going
I just knew
That it was a perfect day
Which is weird because it was a monday
But then I passed a deer, with his hoof up
So I stopped what I was doing
And I pulled to the side of the road
And I got out my backpack
And I pulled out my pop tarts
Cause I think it wants a nibble
But I can't be quite sure
He was easing up to me
And I was easing up to him
We were easing up at each other
And then the deer said
"Hey, thanks for the pop tart, and by the way i'm a talking deer, can I hitch a ride?"
So I said, "Sure!"
So he got on the back of my bike
I asked, "Where are ya headed?"
He said, "To the andes"
Well i've never been there before
Must be pretty this time of year, I'm down to go there
So on the way there we sang
Coasting through the day
Adventure is on the way
Like children we'll laugh and play
Yup
It was a perfect day
Once we got to the andes he yelled, "STOP the bike!"
And then he said, "let's go for a hike"
Step by step and hoof by hoof we made it to the top
And when we looked around
What we saw was beautiful
We looked at each other and he said
Thank you so much John for all the food
And thanks for giving me no attitude
Cause on the way here I had a blast
But now it's time for me to go home and it's time to relax
