Johny Locus - the inevitable Lyrics

Johny Locus - the inevitable Lyrics

Giving back my faith like I ain't need that
In the moment of my fear I did need that
Looking at my friends I can't reach back
Every single dollar I have earned I would eat that
Always thought success meant buying my mom a home
Pay my dads bills and give my bro a loan
My sister going to eat her kids won't feel alone
Buy a spot in heaven for my dogs to have a spot at home
God pulling the cord from this microphone
Every single word wasn't landing straight
I either fell short or didn't watch my tone
I didn't know emcees carried so much weight
Every step counted by all the ones I loved
Never watched my back because they held me up
Couldn't say thanks never good enough
Jesus can you help or you busy watching other stuff?
Screaming out for help since I remember
Lonely in my room closed doors with a temper
Mad at the world when the world don't owe me Simba
Thinking like a king but my hearts scared and dimmer
Seventeen years old I could've been a dad twice, man
Yelling at my kids about leftover rice, man
One was miscarried we did earnestly regret, man
Angrier with God about the turning of events man

Went from a innocent kid to a animal
Skipped every class on purpose
I was on the lawn with the Q's and the antidote
Drunk every week not it worth it
Heart off beat ain't talking quarter note
Freshman year was a circus
Something was wrong
Freestyle a song
Writing a verse was my newest escape
Dropped out of college to earn me some knowledge from all of the local talent
I was astonished they wrote all of their songs right of a basement setting
So unbelievable yet so achievable working to earn this talent
All of my resources, came from hard work I was setting

Made a few tapes with Stars and Bombs
Doing a show at AUP
Sessions at the Bungalow
Everlasting Cafe every week
Made a new song with them as a whole
SoundCloud streams going up every week
Running the streets of Georgia Ave
Fell apart after 2013
We had beef
We were raw, too much talent to be juiced
Wish we looked for what is true
We would still move as a group
Still got love for all the homies, there is nothing I won't do
Still got love for all their families, my success goes out to you

Now it's 2016, up and down Philly I was doing big things
Moving like a prince I was on to big things
Car so packed like a can of sardines
Brand new whip got a brand new Jeep
In and out shows we were earning our wings
Business had piled to the ceiling
So many feelings, losing the idea of me
Found my way back to the Bible
Still in denial
They almost totaled my Jeep
I would get dipped in the water
Knew I was cleansed still wasn't able to see
Fell so deep into the fire
Temperatures higher, I didn't need a degree
Walking right back to the darkness,
Heart became harden, knew I had traveled too deep
The inevitable
