The house on Spruce St., the church on Blanton
We sat on the steps and waited for rain
In front of my house when your brother drove off
That's when I kissed you, I stole the first one
And when the rain came, you told me of a dream
So I took you out to the middle of the street
It was there when I held you, told you I loved you
Cold and drenched but happy and free
Now I don't remember just how we got
To right where we are now, but I'll give it a shot
A bouquet of memories from all different times
It's no gerber daisies but they look just fine
I told you I'd never do what I did
And what do you know, I did it again
You've had all the right reasons to turn your back
But I thank our god that you gave me this chance
Remember that night when we walked past dark
And said all the things we had never said before
Now I don't remember just how we got
To right where we are now, but I'll give it a shot
A bouquet of memories from all different times
It's no gerber daisies, but the orchids look fine
Yeah, the orchids look fine
