Look back those icy roads
I'm wrapped up like a Christmas Present
Kept warm in my winter coat
Shopping 'round don't waste a minute
'Tis the season is there a reason
Cuz I have yet have yet to see it
'Tis a time for caring and giving
For me just one more day of living
So why wait for the Christmas Tree
To give and love unconditionally
Is it really that hard to see
Your not the man in the chimney
Give all you've got
May seem a lot
But in the end you'll see
The Joy of the Holiday
Waiting in line it seems like hours
All the stockings and eggnog are selling
Santa hats and candy canes
Is that what it takes to care for the needy
Well maybe I'm reading to much into Christmas
But why is the focus all on your wish list
Reindeer and snowflakes might seem jolly
But the concept should always be saved for the family
So why wait for the Christmas tree
To give and love unconditionally
Oh is it really that hard to see
Your not the man in the chimney
Give all you've got
May seem a lot
But in the end you'll see
The Joy of the Holiday
Hear the echo of carolers for miles
Silence is broken by songs from angels
Bells are ringing sirens are calling
Christmas cheer in the air as they're singing
So why wait for the Christmas tree
To give and love unconditionally
Oh is it really that hard to see
Your not the man in the chimney
Give all you've got
May seem a lot
But in the end you'll see
The Joy of the Holiday
