And there was war in heaven's skies,
Michael and his angels, their battle cries,
Fought against the dragon, fierce and bold,
But they prevailed, as the story's told.
From hell, such might it fell
The old serpent of heaven's bell
Called the devil, sings his name
The deceiver's fall in flames of shame
Into the dust, the serpent cried
Writhing in pain, with nowhere to hide
And a loud voice echoed through heaven's air,
"Salvation and power are now declared,
The kingdom of our God has come,
Dominion of His Christ, the battle's won."
Thrown down, the dragon fell,
The old serpent, from heaven's spell,
Called the devil, Satan's name,
The deceiver's fall, in flames of shame.
The accuser of our brothers, cast down low,
Day and night, his accusations go,
But they overcame by the Lamb's pure blood,
By their testimony, in faith they stood.
Rejoice, oh heavens, let your voices ring
Woe to the earth where sorrows cling
Woe to the earth and sea below
For the devil's wrath now starts to show
He knows his time is short and brief,
His rage unleashed, in pain and grief.
Thrown down, the dragon fell,
The old serpent, from heaven's spell,
Called the devil, Satan's name,
The deceiver's fall, in flames of shame.
Rejoice, O heavens, sing your praise,
For the kingdom of God is here to stay,
Salvation and power, forevermore,
In His glory, we will soar.
