A weary traveler speaks to the glade
'Is anyone there? I am in need of aid please'
A man appears dirtied and bare
Clothed by his own beard
He leads the way to a fountain so clear it looks just like a mirror
The weary traveler holds back his tears
Drinking with haste until he suddenly hears waves
The wildling takes a fish from the lake
And cuts it into two
'This half's mine and this one's for you'
And then he throws his half into the pool
And when they look the fish is whole
And in bewilderment they ask
'The phases of the moon
Cherry blossoms in bloom
How does the world know what to do each time?'
The weary traveler speaks to the man:
'What did you do? How can it be back in one piece?'
He says: 'I don't know the intricacies
But God has always known
That this fish is forever home'
And then they break the bread and all the crumbs
They leave behind become new loaves
And in bewilderment they ask
'The phases of the moon
Cherry blossoms in bloom
How does the world know what to do each time?'
