Oh Australia's my home
With sadness I roam
In Australia my dreams can never be
Prices of a house are too dear for me
Rent's always too high
And now they are meagre
I call for help
But my voice is getting weaker
I should try harder they say to me
I'm working four jobs but sometimes three
I was born with nothing
So I should leave with the same
As the rich don't care
As long as their children get fame
We're reaping our country
For the rich and the greedy
The Australian dream is
Out of reach for someone like me
Oh Australia's my home
With sadness I roam
Oh homelessness in Australia
It's a tragic sight
Government rich blind to the plight
Holidays and mansions
Their priorities sway
While families and the poor have nowhere to stay
Politicians chatter but their actions are thin
Families on streets where do they begin
The rich buy houses like jewels
I believe their actions are quite cruel
How many do they need
While families' fortunes bleed
Australia is a country fueled by greed
Middle class fading in mortgage debt
The poor left in squalor and their sweat
Oh Australia's my home
With sadness I roam
Oh homelessness in Australia it's a tragic sight
Government rich blind to the plight
Holidays and mansions their priorities sway
While families and the poor have nowhere to stay
Oh Australia's my home
With sadness I roam
Oh homelessness in Australia
It's a tragic sight
Government rich blind to the plight
Holidays and mansions their priorities sway
While families and the poor have nowhere to stay
Oh Australia's my home
Oh Australia's my home
Oh Australia's my home
