Mind awake
Body asleep
There's a strange and dark sensation
Ascending in me
As my limbs seem to slip away
Contorting me
I leave my body
And set my consciousness free
There I am in the gray and naked
Templates of my dreams
Where a world is born around my face
In my head and yet so real
And my senses start to besiege my mind
And I soon forget my fears
Because the best illusions are just those
In which you let your mind be free
It's still dark around my mind
And I reach out and shout
But I'm still under water
And there's shadows 'round my spine
But the instant I gaze upon the
Glowing spot of light
On the horizon
My world begins to shine
And I rise upon the mountains
And there's freedom in my lungs
And I'll never cease the forming
Of this world without my hands
But my dream has just begun
Oh, my dream has just begun
And I'll never cease the forming
Of this world without my hands
Mind awake
Body asleep
I see clear and understand
My eyes are starving so I feed
And I breathe in while I sense
The ground's feedback under my feet
And I realize the air I'm breathing
Can't exist on the ocean bed
And it reminds me
That I'm still asleep
Mind awake
Body asleep
Mind awake
