You're looking like a model, silver screen
Smiling for the international scene
When they capture me on film I look so sad
But when you see me in the day it's not so bad
While you're going places I'm going to the shops
But I'm following a path that never stops
I'm a daisy, imperfect daisy in the sun
If I'm lazy and I'd rather be lazy with someone
And working for a dollar gets you by
But the more you've got the more you've got to try
Like a lion in his cage you are resigned
Cause if they set you free
You would just like down and die
Still you try to pay for the seat with the clearest view
So you can look around and see the people just like you
Well they can show you to the place where you point and shoot I wonder if you feel at all when autumn turns to blue
So they teach you to climb to the highest peak they have found
And I get caught up and it gets harder to see they're just rooted in the ground
So you climb and you climb only to find the top receding into the blue
That's when you stop and realise they've got a hold on you
Take in the blue
