I sit out on my balcony
Every afternoon
And I watch the cars below me
Get to where they're going to
Like there's nothing else to do
And I watch the clouds above me
Drift across the evening sky
I like to watch them turn
To pretty shades of pink and white
Some would call it a waste of time
When my world seems bare
I know I need to go outside
And get some air
But am I broke inside
For wanting you
To pass my balcony sometime
I sit out on my balcony
Winter, spring, and fall
When summer comes around
I guess I'll move back in with mom
She wouldn't be upset at all
There's little birds that say hello
Their colors black and blue
Well I find it strange when nightfall comes
And they're still singing tunes
Are they waiting for someone too
When my world seems bare
I know I need to go outside
And get some air
But am I broke inside
For wanting you
To pass my balcony sometime
If I wait here too long
Will I be the man I want to become
And if I stay looking out
Well I'll keep dreaming of the things we talked about
We talked about
