[ Featuring Guy Michetti ]
Alone I've fallen asleep
Alone my secrets I keep
Alone I find myself and I've noticed
Alone is okay with me
We watch as people go by
Don't see their pain but we try
To put ourselves inside of their shoes
Never knowing how much they might cry
Living our lives with our rose-colored glasses
Seeing what others might want us to see
But there's so much more going on on the inside
And we'll never know what their struggles might be
Why do we look but not see
How unhappy these people can be
We envy things that others may have
Never knowing their reality
They don't like being alone
Their emptiness worn like cologne
They fill their time but nothing fulfills them
Can't breathe when they're on their own
Living our lives with our rose-colored glasses
Seeing what others might want us to see
But there's so much more going on on the inside
And we'll never know what their struggles might be
Alone I've fallen asleep
Alone my secrets I keep
Alone I find myself and I've noticed
Alone is okay with me
