Roses are red, the grass is tall and green
I didn't mean to cause a big scene
Sometimes you just decide to try and help out
And Uncle Ted left the tractor laying about
I wasn't too certain about the buttons and gears
Never seen nothing like them in all of my years
I didn't know my left from my right
Then I took the turn by the ditch a little too tight
Violets are blue, mud is wet and brown
That's all I saw when I fell down
The ditch was full of water, and I started to float
That's when I saw that old hairy goat
He looked me up and down, his eyes really mean
Like I said, I didn't wanna cause a big scene
So I jumped right back up on the tractor
I put the knob on the rabbit cause I knew that meant faster
The goat started charging, the tractor started to smell
The goat got closer, I started to yell
Black smoke started puffing out the back end
Now I can't even try to pretend
I don't know what I'm doing
This tractor is outta control
This goat is gonna eat me
All because I stole

Now the goat started coughing and turned the other way
That's when I bowed my head and started to pray
The tractor hit the house and stopped in it's place
Uncle Ted ran outside, an awful look on his face
I told him I saw the whole thing, it was a disaster
The goat hit it's head on the back of his tractor
The tractor took off with a mind of it's own
Then I told him I think I better get home
I saw the whole thing
