In the forest deep we go
Little insects life they show
Burrowing beneath the ground
Tiny sounds they make around
Years they slumber in the dirt
Seasons pass in silence heard
Then they wake the time has come
To the surface one by one
Cicadas sing their buzzing song
Calling out all summer long
In the trees they rest and play
Filling the air with their symphony
Their shrill voices rise and fall
A nature's chorus over all
Through the heat they chirp and hum
Cicadas sing until summer is done
Wings unfold they start to fly
Toward the canopy so high
Mating calls are in the air
Songs of love they all share
Summer night they serenade
Nature's melody displayed
Leaves sway gently branches dance
Insects celebrate their chance
Cicadas sing their buzzing song
Calling out all summer long
In the trees they rest and play
Filling the air with their symphony
Their shrill voices rise and fall
A nature's chorus over all
Through the heat they chirp and hum
Cicadas sing until summer is done
Cicadas sing their buzzing song
Calling out all summer long
In the trees they rest and play
Filling the air with their symphony
Their shrill voices rise and fall
A nature's chorus over all
Through the heat they chirp and hum
Cicadas sing until summer is done
