Its Saturday night. Frankie's out on the town
He's playing to the crowd he's the king of the street
Not a moment goes by, he's not livin' the dream
And the nights fade into oblivion
Now Jenny walks the street, her heart in a mess
She's given up on love, its not worth it anymore
As her friends all tell her, she's gonna forget
But in her mind, she's not started falling yet
Now Frankie sees Jenny, walking past the neon lights
He takes a breath and wonders if she'll remember those nights
So he follows her down to the club on the hill
She steps inside leaving the cold moonlight air behind
He scans the darkness there she is sitting at the bar
Ignoring the advances of a guy smoking a cigar
He gets the message, she's finally alone
Nursing a drink that's going down slowly to her core
He pulls up a seat beside her, and whispers her name
She turns to see who's the next player in the game
A familiar face look back, older and scarred
The smile on the corner of his lips beginning to break
They talk for the rest of the night of days gone by
Broken hearts they created abandoned in denial
She laughs again like she never thought she would
But the night is soon over and they'll head their separate ways
Frankie hails a taxi, from the headlights on the road
He helps her inside and holds the door
He gives her his number and she promises to call
Then Jenny disappears into the nighttime realm
