Summer stole softly up the backstreets
Whispering gently into sleeping ears
I am back look into my morning
Summer creeps quietly through the years
Those who were raised up wander
Through the jungles and through the parks
Deafening beauty raging silence
Drifting like ghosts until dark
Summer nights soothed their fragile minds
Away from all the chaos and the pain
And as they slept safe in her tender arms
Summer cries her warm midnight rain
In many of my memories I was an Indian
I believed in the winds infectious song
My childhood highest hope of innocence
I have no shame because I have done nothing wrong
Summer stole softly up the backstreets
Whispering gently into sleeping ears
I am back look into my morning
Summer creeps quietly through the years
