We were born with a stone in our hands
We were born with a stone in our hands
Forever trying to toss it at the wind
Forever trying to toss it at
Did we not seize the day
Trying to be comfortable
Trying to be comfortable again
Did we make a mistake
Trying to be comfortable
Trying to be comfortable again
Complacency plants its seed
Will we turn away when there's a need
Or will we intervene when it's convenient
Posting it for those who haven't seen it
Have we lived in a bubble for so long
We didn't even care to admit it
We didn't want to pay it no mind
Do we even need a wake up call
Or will we just try to ignore it
And pretend everything is fine
Did we not seize the day
Trying to be comfortable
Trying to be comfortable again
Did we make a mistake
Trying to be comfortable
Trying to be comfortable again
Again again again
We strive to be comfortable in everything we do
Comfortable in our bodies
Comfortable in our careers
Comfortable in our relationships
It just seems like it's something that
We naturally gravitate toward
But when taken out of context
Being comfortable can be very dangerous
We tend to get so used to our own lives
And what makes us feel good
That it takes something like a pandemic
To force us to sit down
And view into the reality of others
And we're shocked and we're appalled
Because how could any of this be happening right under our noses
But then we'll post about it on social media
And be concerned
But after awhile
We'll settle right back into being comfortable
As if nothing ever happened
So what are we gonna do
Keep being comfortable
It's up to you
Did we not seize the day
Trying to be comfortable
Trying to be comfortable again
I won't make a mistake
Trying to be comfortable
Trying to be comfortable again
Again again again
