Fall afternoon I've got the heat on
I left my coat on my office chair
Construction detour downtown
Of all places led me there
I drove by my old house I wish they'd burn it down
Abandoned and left there to rot
Windows left shattered roof caving in the back
Reminders of things not forgotten yet
Empty rooms tattered window drapes
The back door laid like a welcome mat
Ruins lifeless and dead
A tomb of thoughts buried in my head
I drove by my old house I wish they'd burn it down
Abandoned and left there to rot
Windows left shattered roof caving in the back
Reminders of things not forgotten yet
When I look through these vacant rooms
I see the ghosts breaking free
If these walls could talk I know that they'd be crying
But now it's only me
