Drained from the skies domain above
Leaves this side of the globe in black
Tell the horizon I will never return
The cold bites with a shower of rain

My eyes search the skies

Stars to navigate clouds in my way

I long for the light of day

Towering tree line holds the scavengers
Shriek In synchronised harmonic war cries
Those winged vermin hunt the weak
Forever waiting beady eyes on me
Hide in shadows until someone shines
Attack those you love in swarms and waves

I was found once or twice
Or so I thought I rolled the dice
My eyes search the skies
Tonight the sun dies

This ghost town under these dark skies
Lights shining like the stars should be
A dying place I cannot leave
Lost lovers I no longer grieve
But still their spirits dance
Silhouettes of past romance

Finally I am found at last
The void was cold dark and vast
My eyes search the skies
I fix those severed ties.
