Sharp claws tear me from slumber
To awaken in pain
While I wander this landscape I am plagued by a question
Do these bodies even carry a soul?
These rotting cadavers they call the living
Wearing masks to hide their true nature
All around me are faces made of soil
They're all staring in one direction
Towards something
Beyond reach
Their ambition transcends causality
Longing for ceaseless destruction
Existential decay swallowing desire
As if strife would save them all
The mind fell off a cliff
And shattered
Into a thousand pieces
Painting my soul pitch black
My crumbling sanity
Cracks my conscience
As understanding looms
Once and for all
The others are still staring blindly
Towards that one horizon
Who cast this fate upon me?
To awaken in a world of lies
Their ambition transcends rationality
Longing for ceaseless gluttony
No consideration for causality
Black Masks painted white
No contract shall erase
What was already seen
Acceptance is in vain
Since the truth is so grave
My crumbling sanity
Cracks my conscience
As understanding looms
Once and for all
The others are still staring blindly
Towards that one horizon
Why hast thou cast this fate upon me?
To awaken in a world of lies
My soul is trapped in a desert
It shan't receive nourishment for ages
Once you walk the path of understanding
You shall know thirst
