I grew up in a house on the highway - and down the road a three room school and go-kart track
Those were - long hot summer days - my friends and I we tried to grow up fast
We - learned hard lessons in the house on the highway - get smacked up side the head
I learned to live with that
We got in - trouble every second day - my friends and I were surely going to hell
Since then I moved away, once in a while we get back together
We're still friends, from way back then
Those were some crazy days - isn't it good when we can share the things we did -
And laugh again
Friends have come and gone - I do what I can - remembering them
Remembering teen-age days - some sad
And we would raise - all kinds of hell - and be good on Sundays
No matter - what we do -it seems we all learn the hard way
And one by one - we end up on a beaten path
You know that - life gets in the way - we move ahead - there is no turning back
I had 5 brothers in the house on the highway - the workers tore it down - the city came to town
Who knew that - time was gonna slip away - and everybody's rising sun goes down
We all just moved away, once in a while we get back together
We're still friends, from way back then
Those were some crazy days - isn't it good when we can share the things we did
And laugh again - while you can
Friends have come and gone - I do what I can - remembering them
Remembering teen-age days - some sad
And we would raise - all kinds of hell - and be good on Sundays
