The wave used to come back to me
After it pulled from the sea
It's been awhile since you

Little seashells left behind
I thought it was different this time
I saw myself growing old

I no longer feel the need to be

To see the sunrise in your eyes

I hope I'm not too far away
Not just an old file in the back of your mind

During the day I put on a face

It's a cruel world we live
To not have the things we want
