A lonely bard walks dark boulevards
A voice calls out
His name is spoken
A lady fair with golden hair sits all alone
Waiting, watching him
She's a ghost of her former self
But the darkness covers all the cracks in her shell
She offers warning
She won't be like this in the morning
But she can see it in his eyes
She knows he loves the lie
Of castles in disguise
And though the spirit fades, her words still linger
His heart is hers
She's got him wrapped around her fingers
And now a lonely bard has work to do
His work is hard, turning fiction into truth
A truth for all to see
Like he does, my friends
Everything she could be again
She offered warning
She wouldn't be like this in the morning
But she could see it in his eyes
She knew he loved the lie
Of castles in disguise
Imagine building something lasting with just a hammer, some nails and a dream
You let love fill its halls
You let memories line its walls
Imagine a warm, inviting light from inside illuminating the night
We made this
We were here
And this is our proof
Forever standing
Build a house
Build a home
Build it out of love
