Oh Christmas time at our house
Oh what a awful sight
Santa left a pile of toys
Couldn't move with dynamite
Don't know what he was thinkin'
Last night when he was here
He left such a pile of things
That a dozer couldn't clear
There were peppermint canes, choo choo trains
Bicycle and air-o-planes
Snakes and ladders and lots of games
Would drive you up the wall
There were cowboy suits a gun that shoots
Bells that ring a horn that toots
Even a pair of cowboy boots
Just sitting in the hall
There were Barbie dolls and rubber balls
Hockey sticks and animal calls
Even a pair of overalls
That were addressed to me
There were b.b.guns a car that runs
Teddy bears for little ones
With fruit and candies by the tons
As far as you could see
There were ironing boards and dueling swords
New Cadillacs and old time Fords
Racing tracks and electric cords
Strewn all o'er the floor
There were ovens that bake things to make
Things that last and things that break
Big plum pudding and a marble cake
Now who could ask for more
That was Christmas morning at our house
