I am just a thread
In God's great tapestry
He's weaving this fabric
That I can not see
But when it is finished
I know it will be
A perfect picture
A thing of beauty

I may not be important
At least in man's eyes
But God sees me differently
And He is most wise
He sees the whole picture
Of which we are a part
And if one part is missing
It really hurts His heart

I am just a thread
In God's great tapestry

Yes God has a plan for me
And for everyone
He has work for me to do
And He needs it done
He's building His kingdom
Yes one soul at a time
He needs us not to stumble
