I decided to give up smoking
I tried to quit the weed
For I was always choking
'Twas something I didn't need
It was costing me a fortune
Darn near half my pay
For I smoked like an old chimney
Found it hard to break away
I saw dots and spots and chamber pots
Floating before my eyes
I saw budgie birds and dirty words
And alligators double size
My nerves were screaming and I saw a demon
With his fork of flame
He had a cigar as big as a car
And on it he carved my name
I decided to give up smoking
Easier said than done
Playing this smokey bar room
With me chewing on my gum
Eating candy and chocolate bars
To keep down the crave
It's nicotine or cholesterol
That'll put me in my grave
I decided to give up smoking
It gave me yellow teeth
I developed emphysema
And my breath smelled like my feet
Russian roulette with cigarettes
Is not being very wise
Cancer of the lungs could get me
And that'll cause my demise
