All around a fireplace waiting for old Saint Nick
It's really hard to see him 'cause he is so quick
He lands his sleigh on the roof or out on the lawn
But close your eyes for a second
He'll be there and gone
Last year we tried to see him
We tried to stay awake
We put out milk and cookies
We put out coke and cake
We had a little eggnog
Any thing he might choose
But before he got there
We had a little snooze
We woke the next morning
We were all back in bed
Can't recall how we got there
Makes me scratch my head
I checked the milk and cookies
And they were all gone
Yet no sleigh track on the roof
Nor out on the lawn
We looked up the chimney
But we could see no sign
The door was still locked inside
Confusing my mind
I'm beginning to wonder
Just how he got in
When I noticed white whiskers
Still on daddy's chin
Some how I think this was an inside job
