When Saints go home
Friends and family weep
Angels celebrate
They know they're just asleep
Soon they will awake
Their saviour they will greet
And walk to their mansion
Beside that golden street
No my friend
Death is not the end
But a new beginning
And a brand new start
Death and grave are denied
A new life is supplied
That will never end
So my friend
Take heart
When Saints go home
And leave this old earth
They're never alone
Has no more pain or hurt
They will rest a while
Until that final day
Receive a new body
That will never decay
Yes my friend
A new life begins
Books will be opened
Records will be read
For deeds done down below
For God's records will show
The deeds done for Christ
Or for self instead
