We are such ready vessels. It feels great
What a gift to be an artist. And I think the Universe just wants to expand
That's its function: just continuous expansion
And it's premise is, I think, Freedom
Everything in the Universe just freely and outwardly and energetically expands
And its reason, I think, is joy
And maybe everything in this Universe that is not human understands this simple thing
And everything just expresses itself freely without thoughts like
"Oh is this going to work?" Or
"Am I going to make money?" Or
"Will people like this?" Only People do that
The wind just blows
And the sun just shines
And the flowers just grow - all so simple and perfect

And so to be an artist is to quiet the mind and open the heart
It is to align oneself again with the forces of Nature
It is the awakening to the reality that we ARE the Universe and our purpose is to expand/express
And our process is Freedom and Joy
Why are we the Universe?
In mathematics I think you can say the set is represented by its members
The member IS the set just like 2 IS an even number
Because it is in the set of even numbers
The word "Universe" is not to be taken in a wishy washy new age marble
The word just implies a set of the sum total of things that exist in the now

And there is ONLY the now
All our science and math points to that singular reality
That all there is is the present moment
And it's hard for a scientist to justify time or for a person to point to the "past" or "future" things
Without making up some abstractified non-real thinking
Like Logic
Anyway
The Universe means: set of all things that exists in the now
And we are one of those things!
We ARE the Universe and that's as simple as saying
"2 is an even number"

But my belief is: there is something BEHIND the world of matter
Like the 'spirit' of the Sun
That urges the 'body' of the sun to do its expression
Hydrogen
Helium
Percussion
Instrumental Thing

It's like maybe Gods and Goddesses and Faeries and Elves or whatever is that
We choose to call those voices from beyond Matter
That have for centuries been guiding life and humanity and teaching us Art And Science...
It is my belief that Art is just the process whereby
Those things without bodies, the invisible Spirits choose to express themselves in the visible Universe
In order to expand it
But they need bodies to do it of course
So when they need a flower to add to the sum total of things in the universe
They look around for dirt and they look around for seed and then they express it all as Life Force
With Heat and Light etc

So with Art it's like there's a song
And it needs someone with a soprano voice
And it needs someone who knows these chords
So it just used us to create a song but
You know we are just pawns in a much larger, infinitely more complex
Game of Spirit
