Hello, I'm Alistair Airhead here, CEO of Go Green Airlines
And I want to let you know how important being
Environmentally friendly is to me.
I'm friendly to everyone, I love animals, I'm a grandfather,
And family is important to me. Call me old fashioned but I want the best for my family and I include Go Green's staff
And shareholders in my family.
Businesses need to grow to survive but that doesn't
Need to cost the earth. Here at Go Green we are making sure that all our activities are doing as little harm as possible.
Along with our airport partners we are reducing emissions and exploring new greener fuels. Airports are using electric vehicles and installing charging points.
They are using low-cost lighting and we are removing plastic cutlery from airports and on our planes.
Advances in modern technology mean in the next 10 to 15 years we might see a biggish electric plane, we just have to make the batteries much more efficient and bring down their size and weight. New bio-fuels are looking promising. We just have to find space to grow all the plants needed to make it. I admit that's a tricky one, as farmers also want to grow more food.
We are of course offsetting all our present flights by planting trees, lots of them all sucking up that nasty Co2
Out of the air. I'm not exactly sure where these trees are or how long it takes to suck up all the Co2 -
But I've a chap in charge of that and you can see we really do care.
So come on board Go Green and we will carry you guilt free all over the planet. If you are worried about friends or relatives on far away low lying islands or near forest fires in California or Australia we offer special deals allowing you to fly more often for less.
The 3 inspectors in Bristol said the airport was right to expand. They said concerns about the environment were not part of the argument. You see the government supports growth. Growth is the way to a brighter future and I see Go Green at the heart of that.
One day our planes may not use fossil fuels at all but until then we are busy doing our bit. Honest.
