The one who picks them small flies from drowning in the puddles
The one that helps an old lady crossing the road since she struggles
What about that guy who does errands for his family who no longer can
Or the man that said no to weapons, since he knows what harm, it can do
Do we see them or have we started to close our eyes
Have we not seen that empathy is slowly about to die
Do we think about what they feel, before we think about ourselves
Have we not learned that doing good deeds helps people in need?
We must wake up and see what is happening around us
Find a way to see, maybe one day you could be the cause
The one who stops the cars to save a frightened cat in the road
The one who gives away his last coin, to an old man that is cold
And that mother who knows what to do, when a child is scared
Or the one who runs into a building full of fire and smoke, unprepared
Have we forgotten how it is to be a hero
Do we see them or have we started to close our eyes
Have we not seen that empathy is slowly about to die
Do we think about what they feel, before we think about ourselves
Have we not learned that doing good deeds helps people in need?
We must wake up and see what is happening around us
Find a way to see, maybe one day you could be the cause
The one who let you in, while others shake their heads and pass by
The one that says that he loves you, no matter without asking why
What about them who gave their home, so some could feel okay
Or the old woman, who once were young and did this every day
Have we forgotten how it is to be a hero
Do we see them or have we started to close our eyes
Have we not seen that empathy is slowly about to die
Do we think about what they feel, before we think about ourselves
Have we not learned that doing good deeds helps people in need?
We must wake up and see what is happening around us
Find a way to see, maybe one day you could be the cause
Where are you now, where did you all go?
