Spring has come and spring has gone
I put on a second pair of socks and take a photo of my breath
The clouds are wiser, shoot down the writer
Rain-bearing snipers
Leaving their drool on the city
Victoria
You chill me to my very core
But then you fill me up with warmth
Then I might just wash away
Postcards sent, street signs bent
It got wetter so I went swimming in an ocean of sweaters
The water was cold so I froze and I couldn't feel my nose
And later on, drinking tea with a spaceman I asked
"What's it like on the moon?"
And was met with a new kind of gloominess
Victoria
You chill me to my very core
But then you fill me up with warmth
Then I might just wash away
Telephone calls, I miss you all
I fell in love more times than a famous singer
But count them all on the same few fingers
You're witty, you're pretty
You're the same new feeling I'm always feeling
The state of things have changed a lot
I'm a thing of states
I wait
I wait
I wait
I wait
I wait
I wait
I wait
