It was a cold night in New York in February
I wore my jacket tight did not have much to carry
So when I got there I could take hold of your hand
And whisk you off to Brooklyn to go see a band
And on our way there a woman held us up a sec
She asked if we might know where to find cigarettes
I said "I'm sorry but i just don't know quite yet
I'm rather new here someone else is your best bet"
And when we got there I would look into your eyes
The colors shifting as we danced beneath the lights
And I'd hang onto you I'm holding oh so tight
And while we move I know that everythings alright
And Auds walks the park
And on our way back the sun sank and it grew dark
She dropped my hand and began dancing through the park
Till I caught up with her
And we slowed to a waltz
She stole my heart that night I guess it's not her fault
And Auds walks the park
