Lost in the what if
Spinning round with words misplaced,
Actions stray like birds displaced.
The sun, once bright, now dull and dim,
And songs I used to love bring me only grim.
To love means letting go, they say,
But you took all of me away.
My heart lost rhythm, mind askew,
And only tears respect the two.
You can't lose what was never yours,
Yet with you, I found my core.
Now all is lost, the light has fled,
Leaving echoes of what we once had
