I kept on fighting all my needs
I'm not weak I am not weak
I would yell over his speech
As he tried to simply help
Good luck finding something kind
In this world of dried up creeks
He would tell me as I left
Bindle swinging from to side to side
I've encountered many men
Some are wise and some are brave
But I've learnt that deep inside
There's a greedy restless soul
He looked upon me with snarky eyes
Knew that I did not belong
Pressed my face into the mud
Son you need to walk back home
I kept on fighting all my needs
I am not weak I am not weak
I would yell over his speech
As he tried to simply help
Good luck finding something kind
In this world of dried up creeks
He would tell me as I left
Bindle swinging from to side to side
Despite these warnings I rushed ahead
Over rivers and through caves
Different jobs and different beds
Sometimes more than just myself
I left behind a childhood home
Now I've made one of my own
I am not saddened or filled with spite
Time to live a different life
