I drove away while i still could
I left your face still in my books
I couldnt make it couldnt look
Back on the place you made it what
It was to me and only us
I couldnt see the loneliness
Thats consuming all of the
Memories i left at home
And i am only
Worth the poetry
I wrote solely
To feel open
Do you recall all of the times
We stopped and talked and laughed and cried
And thought we oughta make it fine
Had lofty, faulty dreams for life
Well deadlines came and surely passed
We never made it past the act
Of moving to a city that
Could give us just what we were after
Years ago, those frozen plans
Will never thaw, we've been going in
Different directions, its over man
Now its just something to f*cking say what if
And i am only
Worth the poetry
I wrote solely
To feel open
