Behold the tarantula!
Lo! watch it tremble!
As you approach its 'subjects'
Such as justice and revenge
None of us are equal
All bound by perspective
Unable to accept this
They fill the world with their storms of revenge
Revenge against self
Revenge against time
Revenge against what is
Whirlwinds of hatred
Justice turns into revenge...
Do not trust in the power-hungry punishers that only seek revenge
They wish not to overcome but hate all who are unlike them
Pseudo profundity, Soured conceit, jealousy,
And of course: revenge
Life must build into the heights
To climb and keep climbing
While the tarantulas march and crawl
"For that mankind be delivered from revenge, that is for me the bridge to the highest hope
And a rainbow after long storms."
Can we ever truly overcome revenge?
