ProZacLundyn - The Marathon Never Ends Lyrics

ProZacLundyn - The Marathon Never Ends Lyrics

In the words of Huey Newton Bobby Seale & the Revolutionaries before me

We want the governments
Power in the hand of the people Which means you & I
That's Exactly why we say all power to The people
All of us equally United, all races, all colors

I want the government to
Actually care about its people

We want education & prison Reform

Over 70% of inmates in America's prisons cannot read
Above a fourth grade reading Level
I need our parents to Understand & value education & The child will follow
There is a Relationship Between Incarceration and Low Literacy
Politicians and journalists often Claim prison planners
Use third Grade reading scores to predict The number of future prison Beds needed

I want our brothers in prison on Cannabis related drug charges
To Be immediately released & given Therapy for prison PTSD
It Makes no sense that cannabis Distribution is legal now in Many states
Yet our brothers are Still incarcerated for years to Come

I want to stop feeling as though I must be "on guard" all the time
I want to be able to see a police & not feel as though I must be On high alert
And worry if my Next move will be my last move

I want our sisters to be loved & For my brothers to stop calling Them female dogs & garden Tools
The disrespect is Unnecessary & makes no sense
Because our mothers are the tree Of life that we all spawned from
My love for my motha could Never allow me to disrespect Our queens

I want our fathers to stay & I Need our fathers to teach our Sons
That it's okay to cry & feel Emotion but your head up
I Need our fathers to do right by Our mothers & show our Daughters
How man is supposed To love a woman

I want people of color to Establish generational wealth
& Teach our youth that their skin Is gold, their melanin is Beautiful & a blessing
I grew up In a family where my cousins & I Were the first to have degrees in The family
& I grew up in a Society that allows for many Melanated youth
To have no one To look up to but rappers & Athletes
Turning on a tv to see That America's standard of Beauty did not look like them
Causing generations to Unintentionally underappreciate
All the attributes that make Them beautifully who they are Creating a stigma of good vs bad Hair
Dark vs light skin follow Into the prophecy of the Willie Lynch letter

I want the media to stop Covering stupid shit & giving Publicity to stupid shit
That Blantantly show how bored we Are as a society to watch people Destroy their lives for fame
We Need to publicize more Positivity
Expose & parade Those that are shining a light in A world so dark

I wanna challenge you to better Yourself, not for yourself but for The people
For the future & for Us. I need everybody to Understand & here me clearly
United we stand & divided we Fall, we are all in this together
I Need America's society to Change. I need humanity to Change!
I grew up in a society Fully of apathy & a lack of love For one another filled with envy & jealousy
I want more love in The world. More compassion More care
One love. Rest in Piece Nipsey Hussle. We gone Ride for you. The Marathon Never Ends
