Life carries on and the world spins round
Too many questions where the answers can't be found
There is an irony in praying for peace
When religion causes war and the generals are priests
We teach forgiveness and good will to all men
Then we reload the guns andsend the bombers out again
We pray our kids grow up in a world of peace
Where all the killing stops and all the hate will cease
Just like the ticking of a clock, it's never ending
Which one of the war gods are you defending
You pray for peace while you encourage the fight
In my opinion killing in gods name's not right
Let's show the world some love and turn the other cheek
If you've got nothing good to say then just don't speak
Why should we really make a profit from war
But more to the point, do you care anymore
