I met an old man in Graham, Texas
While was visiting the Courthouse Square
We were both looking at pictures on the wall
They had on display up there
He said when he was a boy his family had their picture made once too
He spoke of how time changes things
And his was almost through
He said the problem with America
Is all the wrong people
Got way too much money
And I thought about that as he slowly walked away
I wondered who the right people were and if in fact they could grab it
All them other people wouldn't just start saying the same thing
It seems like a lotta fussing is caused
By wanting what somebody else has got
Like a new refrigerator
Or a fancy elevator
Or an ivory piss to pot
I mean who's to say who's living well
And who's got too much of what?
The question I keep on asking myself
Is are you taking care of what you got?
He said the problem with America
Is all the wrong people
Got way too much money
And I thought about that as he slowly walked away
I wondered who the right people were and if in fact they could grab it
Them other people wouldn't just start saying the same thing
Them other people wouldn't just start saying the same thing
