Drive up to a lookout point
To see the sunrise from Victoria
Yellow over Washington
Makes jokes about the ocean
And how I've never seen it
Get back in the van and drive
And drive until it's late at night
The fog was rolling heavy through the mountains
It got so bad we couldn't see
Brought us such anxiety
But we both know there's nowhere we'd rather be
I'm grateful for what I've found
But I'm still scared of being lost
Alone without a friend in town
Who knows what it would cost
To stay there at the lookout place
As the sun prepared its space
To pain with vibrant pink and gold
To stop the feeling of getting old
It can only stop for now
