The dust of morning takes its flight
Sun was hiding in its light
The blackness of this body stays
Machines thud thick in endless ways
Sweat and toil don't define me
Boss's roar won't undermine me
Whiteness of these teeth is still strong
Ready to crush what feels so wrong
In vain the wages in my hand
If the body can't withstand
Soul's strength fading
Slipping through
All the color lost from view
Dimness wraps the working day
But my hope won't fade away
Though machines may swallow whole
They can't take my burning soul
Morning dust and twilight fray
Won't erase my will today
Even in this toil and grind
There's a light I aim to find
In vain the wages in my hand
If the body can't withstand
Soul's strength fading
Slipping through
All the color lost from view
