Buddha's on the bus and he's feeling slightly frayed
Thinking 'bout the government and feeling betrayed
And the noise of the engine is sinister and avant garde
And everybody thinks that they're so damn hard
Buddha's on the bus and he's feeling slightly mad
Thinking about the life that's turned so bad
And he's tried being neither happy nor sad
But you wouldn't believe the day he's had
The word on the street is that Buddha's drawn a blank
Nothing comes from nothingness - but who do we thank?
And they drive these buses like they were a tank
Then someone screams hysterically - "change the record Frank!"
Buddha's on the bus and he's turned into his Dad
A meercat doll dressed in gabardine and plaid
He thought he'd found enlightenment
But it was just a fad
And you wouldn't believe the day he's had
