Sometimes I can feel tears behind my eyes
I hold them hostage with a motive to never let them go
Any one that is to escape the cell in which I compare my eyes
Is a criminal of state
My state of mind
That one tear is also deemed treasonous and for that act of escaping
And breaking everything I go against
I will see it through that I punish myself with drought
A drought that starves me from all human feelings and emotions
So that never again will a tear have any drive to leave
They are mine
I own them
If released then I am theirs
And they own me
This cannot happen
