Something's not right
In this black night
There's darkness in the air
Ten women stand
Before cruel man
The same fate they all share
As soon as they arose
With loving hearts aglow
They were hunted down for their beliefs
And told Recant and be released
One after one
Their lives are done
Each hanged in a square
They take their flight
Beyond the sight
Of the vile men's evil stare
Something has to change
It shouldn't be this way
They were torn from friends and family
And treated as the enemy
Give her peace and give her rights
In the land of her great plight
Where she struggles every day
No one's gender faith or creed
Should be cause for them to bleed
Or be afraid to show their face
A love sublime
For all mankind
They told them to forsake
But they stood firm
With no concern
For the doom that they would face
Something has to change
It shouldn't be this way
If we build a new society
We can finally have equality
Give her peace and give her rights
In the land of her great plight
Where she struggles every day
No one's gender faith or creed
Should be cause for them to bleed
Or be afraid to show their face
