Started like any other day, I woke up with a drink of water
Something felt a little strange, as I stumbled into the kitchen
But I figured it would be okay, I went outside to check the weather
The air was damp and the sky was gray, yeah everything felt kinda peculiar
I started out with a plan to seize the day
But the day was feeling some other way
My plans have been abandoned sad to say
I swear I was here for a reason
But I forgot what I was doing
Forgot what I was doing again
Forgot what I was doing
What was it I was looking for
Something took a hold of me, I left the house went down the driveway
After that my mind went blank, until I came around in an unfamiliar place
Standing in the street, the cars around were still and empty
I tried to move my feet, but I had lost all control it seemed
I guess I finally split from my routine
But this is not quite what I imagined
If only I could sort out what it means
But before I could even begin
I forgot what I was doing
Forgot what I was doing again
Forgot what I was doing
What was it I was looking for?
I forgot what I was doing
Forgot what I was doing again
Forgot what I was doing
I gotta get back to where I was before
I gotta get back
Find an anchor
Look for something familiar
So I look at the sun, soak in the heat, I feel the grass under my feet
I know this place, I know these faces yes I'm sure I do
But I forget the names, forget the way everything feels upon my skin
Thought I'd be fine, little did I know I'd forget what I was doing again
