There were three candles on the altar
One on each end
In the center stood a third
We took the ends
And lit the center one
And left all three to burn
I wish you were not thinking that you'd given up your life
That you lost what made you you
When you became my wife
You have lose some self but it's
Not a sacrifice
No it is not a sacrifice
You and I we should have used
The candle set above
To illuminate the dark
We should have explored the fear
And conquered all the doubts
Together from the start
But we use the end
To light separate paths
Which has led to this result
You and I we never really
Gave it all we could
We should have put the other candles out
I wish you were not thinking that you'd given up your life
That you lost what made you you
When you became my wife
You have lose some self but it's
Not a sacrifice
No it is not a sacrifice
